ME/CFS

In-Person in Saskatoon and Area or Online Anywhere

ME/CFS is one of the most complex and least understood conditions we see. The fatigue is real. The crashes are real. The way the system responds to even minor exertion is real. We take all of it seriously, and we work carefully. Available in person in Saskatoon and virtually across Canada and beyond.

What Makes ME/CFS Different

ME/CFS — Myalgic Encephalomyelitis/Chronic Fatigue Syndrome — isn't ordinary tiredness. It's a condition where the body's capacity to generate and recover energy is profoundly disrupted, and where pushing past limits often leads to crashes that can set things back significantly. Post-exertional malaise, or PEM, is one of the hallmarks: doing too much doesn't just make you tired — it can trigger a cascade of symptoms that takes days or weeks to recover from.

This is one of the reasons why well-meaning encouragement to "just keep moving" or "push through it" can do real harm here. The approach we take is the opposite of that. Careful pacing, working within your current capacity, and not asking more of your system than it can currently give — that's the foundation.

The Nervous System's Role

Nervous system dysregulation is a significant part of the ME/CFS picture for many people. The autonomic nervous system — the part that regulates energy, recovery, sleep, heart rate, and stress response — often isn't functioning the way it should. That dysregulation contributes to the symptoms, and it's also a target for careful, gradual work.

This might include HRV biofeedback to support autonomic regulation, breathwork done in a very light and manageable way, education to help understand what the system is doing and why, and coaching to support pacing and sustainability. The goal isn't to push toward recovery. It's to gently create the conditions where recovery becomes more possible, over time.

What Working Together Looks Like

Sessions here are paced carefully and built entirely around your current capacity — not an average, not a target, just where you actually are today. Some weeks that will look different from others, and that's okay. The plan adjusts. There's no pressure, no expectation that you'll keep pace with anything other than what your system is ready for.

Sessions are available in person in Saskatoon, where we can do hands-on assessment alongside the nervous system work. Virtual sessions are also available for those who aren't able to travel or who find in-person visits too taxing. Start with the free 15-minute consult — a low-demand, no-pressure conversation to see whether this is the right fit.

Not Sure Where to Start

The free 15-minute consultation is exactly what it sounds like — a no-pressure conversation. You share what's going on, I share how I work, and we figure out together whether it's a good fit.
If it's not, I'll tell you that honestly — and I'll do my best to point you somewhere that is.
