In-Person and Virtual
Mind Body Physiotherapy

We are proud to provide mind body physiotherapy through Anderson Dupuis Wellness in person in Saskatoon or virtually throughout Saskatchewan.

If you've been through the traditional physiotherapy route -- all the exercises, the manual therapy, the follow-up appointments, the endless stretches -- and you're still not where you expected to be, this service is worth looking at.

Mind body physiotherapy is not just about what's happening in the muscles and joints. It's about what the nervous system is doing, what the body has been holding onto, and what's been missed when those things aren't part of the picture.

This is evidence-based, hands-on physiotherapy — but with a much wider lens.

What Makes Us Different

Traditional physiotherapy is built around a structural model. Find the problem, treat the tissue, restore function. That model works well for a lot of things — acute injuries, post-surgical rehab, clear biomechanical issues.

But for many people, especially those dealing with chronic symptoms, that model runs out of road. The tissue heals, but the pain stays. The exercises help temporarily, then stop working. Nothing explains why.

What often gets missed is the nervous system's role. Chronic pain, persistent tension, unexplained symptoms — these frequently involve the brain and nervous system interpreting signals in ways that are no longer helpful or accurate. That's not a sign that your symptoms are imaginary. It's a sign that something important hasn't been addressed yet.

Mind body physiotherapy addresses that piece directly. The physical assessment and treatment are still there when needed. But the nervous system, your history, your stress load, and the patterns that have built up over time — those are all in the room too.

What Sessions Look Like

Every new client starts with a thorough intake. Not just a list of symptoms, but a real conversation — about your history, what you've already tried, what's helped, and what hasn't. I often find the story is as informative as the physical assessment itself.

Sessions are typically conversational as well as practical. Understanding what's happening in your body is part of the treatment — not a prelude to it.

Sessions are built around what you actually need. That might include:

Pain Reprocessing Therapy (PRT) — working with how your nervous system interprets and responds to pain signals
Hands-on physiotherapy — when manual assessment or treatment genuinely adds value
Somatic tracking — learning to notice and relate to physical sensations differently
Biofeedback — using HRV and capnometry to see what your nervous system is doing in real time
Breathwork — paced breathing and other techniques to directly influence nervous system state Movement — progressive, intentional, and always framed around what it means for your nervous system, not just your muscles
